Welcome to Washington Certification Services

Green River College and Washington State Department of Health have been partners in administering certification program activities for over 40 years. Through the interagency agreement between the two state agencies, Washington Certification Services is responsible for:

Administering the State Backflow Assembly Tester (BAT) Certification Program
Administering the State Waterworks Certification Program
Providing training evaluation and accreditation services to course sponsors

Washington Certification Services has a strong history of supporting Green River College's core themes. Under the direction of the Department of Health, Office of Drinking Water, we provide comprehensive programs, services and resources for environmental professionals and continuing education providers.

We assist drinking water operators and Backflow Assembly Testers in attaining state certification, meeting continuing education requirements, achieving career advancement goals, and protecting the health of Washington's citizens.
